Names never mentioned on Mumsnet

This is kind of along the lines of the unusual names thread, so sorry if it's too similar, but I was surprised to search for a name on mumsnet and found it had not been mentioned on any Baby Names thread. I thought most probably had at least once! So, I am going to correct this now - the name is Hyla (boy). Anyone else have one?

Daphne. You never hear that name. It's pretty, and it's strange it hasn't made a come back with all the Graces, Elsies and flower names.

It's ok, you don't have to like Hyla! It is pronounced High-la and I think is Scottish, but not sure. I have only come across it once, but I thought it would have had a mention on here before!

I never see Samantha suggested but I don't think many young children nowadays have that name. Probably because people will insist on shortening it to Sam, which is a BOYS name Confused

Never heard of Hyla either.

I know a baby Dennis but I don't think the name has been mentioned recently on here (positively or negatively).

Lynette is another that springs to mind.

Oh and I love Luke and Nicole!

Luke is mentioned quite a lot on threads by Star Wars fans or those who decide to breed from them. On the grounds that it's the acceptable alternative to what the fan is coming up with.

I've never heard of the name Hyla and don't really take to it (sorry).
