Emilia
Clara
Verity

DH is convinced they are a bit posh for us. I think I've spent so long thinking about this that I no longer have an immediate sense of where they fall in the whole class thing...what do you think?

Hmm altogether they sound a bit posh but individually if I met someone with one of those names I wouldn't bat an eyelid. So as long as it's not triplets... Grin

I love Clara and considered it for DD2.

I'd say a little old fashioned rather than posh. Bit old fashioned is cool!

allmycats · 29/01/2014 20:51

All lovely names.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/01/2014 20:50

nope

GlitzAndGiggles · 29/01/2014 20:50

There's an Emilia in my family. My side isn't posh but her parents are stuck up. I love the name and wouldn't really say it's posh it's just my family who think they are

They are all nice names.

Verity is the only one that sounds a bit posh to me.

Lottiedoubtie · 29/01/2014 20:37

They are names that cross classes. They will be on both state and private school rolls.

MuttonCadet · 29/01/2014 20:35

I don't think they're posh, but they are lovely names (I know a very nice not posh Verity)

AbiRoad · 29/01/2014 20:31

Verity is the only one I think of as a bit posh, but maybe because I know a posh verity

Longdistance · 29/01/2014 20:29

I like Clara Grin

although this ones not posh, but acts like the lady of the manor Wink

What is posh? I have a 'posh' name. Actually my middle name is quite 'posh' as well. Try 'classic' or 'timeless'

I come from an ordinary working class background but I do believe my 'classic' names have opened doors for me. They are timeless and I can't be age dated by my name. I could be fifteen or sixty.

Your choices are timeless and classic.

Alisvolatpropiis · 29/01/2014 20:26

No, just nice names Smile

FuckyNell · 29/01/2014 20:25

I like them. Also liking Margot.

LegArmpits · 29/01/2014 20:24

Let me tell you, I am not posh! [farts, reads The Sun]

CarlaVeloso · 29/01/2014 20:23

No, not bad at all! I just wondered what the perception might be. Just asking, that's all.

Is 'posh' bad?

I think the names are lovely.
