Clara still needs a middle name

Actually, she doesn't, we'd be quite happy not to use one, but I'm still hoping for some divine inspiration. There's no family names we'd like to use. Throw all your ideas at me please!

Surname is two syllables and starts with D.

My OH has vetoed Clara if we have a girl - my middle name was Grace so happy to donate that!

I like Beth too.

We LOVE Elise but unfortunately it kind of rhymes with our surname. Sad :(

Sophie, Isobel and Imogen are all on the list!

So many fantastic suggestions, thank you :)

I agree with other posters who have said I would avoid names starting with a vowel or a J and avoid names ending in a!

Somehow a two syllable name that doesn't start or end in a vowel sounds best to me.

Blu · 29/01/2014 21:11

I don't think that names beginning with a vowel are easy to say after a name endng on a vowel.

Clara -er- lizabeth
Claraer-elise..

My DS only has one name, it has worked so far. And I have no middle name, and haven't missed it.
