doing my head in... hubs likes classic, pretty names. I like strong, little bit different boyish names. Never going to have it my way though!!

shortlist now wiped of Ruby, Holly, Amy, Brooke.

we used to love Elsie but surname ends "sie" and DD1 is Ella Rose.

help!!! inspire us!!

Does Josephine cover both? Strong and classic and i think its pretty! Jo or Josie for short?

PavlovsCats · 23/01/2014 15:19

Frances? Classic name, great nn potential?

GlitzAndGiggles · 23/01/2014 15:16

I was going to suggest Elodie aswell but I think it's too similar sounding with Ella. I don't think Eliza is too bad with Ella. Some others are Clara, Amelle, Rhian, Jodie, Josie, Caitlin, Jade, Hannah, Shona, Sadie, Taliah, Zoe.

Carmen is lovely btw to the pp who mentioned it

I met a woman called Alaska once, she was as cool as her name. It really suited her.

I think claudia is beautiful. Pretty and feminine but still strong to keep you both happy?

MomentForLife · 22/01/2014 20:34

I like Brooke from your list.

Really like the name Carmen, friend is having twin girls so been thinking of lots of girl names recently. Love Lyra.

Amy, Bryony, Caitlin, Megan simply because they are real characters.

Bowlersarm · 22/01/2014 20:14

Flora?

Bowlersarm · 22/01/2014 20:14

No. You can't have Ella and Eliza. Sorry OP.

Lara.

We had problems with girls names....then DD announced he had found the perfect name! Lara! It was perfect...until I said it with our surname. Sad

(My real surname is not Scavo)
