Help with name to go with 'unusual' (comedy) surname please!

I've posted before about girls names to go with our unhelpful surname Aldock (see -
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/a1912210-Unhelpful-surname-Chloe-or-Freya-or)
but now I need boys name suggestions please!

Again, we've had to rule quite a few we like out, eg. Jacob (Jaco Baldcock) and Aidan (which I just think doesn't sound right - and as I've said in my previous thread, I don't really like alliteration).

We like Isaac but it just wouldn't work - I's a coldcock or I suck old cock??????!!!

Though we think Zac is a possiblility - Does Zac Aldcock sound ok?

Please can you give us some suggestions (boys or girls) - it's driving me a little crazy!!!!! Thank you!

Am pleased to know it's not just me!!

I love Daniel but that's already in the family.
I like James and love Joseph though inevitably they'd become Jim or Joe which I don't like.
Owen is nice but wasn't sure names beginning with a vowel work as well?
Definitely ruled out names beginning with B (BAldcock) so Blake is out.
I do really like Jamie and Marcus but not sure either is strong enough?
Shame about Zac as I do love this but as has been mentioned a couple of times, if there is a risk it could sound like suck then it really is a no go.

You do have to me careful Sadly, Mil didn't have MN thirty-odd years ago.... When I met DH online and he gave me his email address, I thought it was obscene and one of my first emails to him was asking WTF was his ridiculous, lewd email address all about. Transpired it was simply [email protected]

OMG OP hilarious thread. I have a VERY similar problem and the 'B' initial issue never occurred to me... until now! We certainly couldn't call any DD of ours Ophelia either....

My boys front runner is the highly inoffensive Rupert.....

The worst comedy name I have heard was Randi Dickermore. Apparently this poor woman has a terrible time everytime she visits the UK....

I always think of Jamie as a boys name.

I think it goes well with Aldcock. The J initial goes well too.

Any idea for a middle name or are you not having one?

Jamie is nice - is it a little feminine though?

Really think we need a strong masculine name.

And no, we're not going to change surname.

Ha, I definitely know it could be worse! I actually quite like it - it's our family name and I don't think anything of it in everyday use. Just when you're naming a baby it's obviously something we need to think about!

Do you think we could get away with Zac?

I have thought that we may have to rule out even more names due to initials - ie. B, C, F, G, H.
