It's for DC3 who I think is a boy. Due very soon. DC1's name begins with A and DC2 begins with R. But I find Idris a bit harsh.

Please don't be horrible or rude.

Cheers...

Idris is the dragon from Ivor the Engine. Not necessarily a bad connotation but worth bearing in mind.
Remy= cognac

Does the 'same initial' thing bother you?

Ambrose could be Brose = very cool.

Ambrose is one of my husband's family names. They were Huguenot refugees to the East End after the Edict of Nantes. For that reason I think it is cool.

Mr friend has a baby Idris. I think it's beautiful. She is Welsh though - I think it's an old Welsh name? Also makes me think of the lovely Mr Elba.

Remy - not keen, sorry.

Ambrose I like, it sounds very distinguished. But it does also make me think of the TV drama 'Funland' where the main character spends ages looking for 'Ambrose Chapel' and meets a bizarre taxidermist called Ambrose Chapfel...
