This is for potential baby number 2. I love it and think it goes well with our first son's name but DH isn't sure and would rather a 'proper name' so I am trying to work out what it could be short for.

So far I have got Abraham/Abram or Bertram. Any other ideas at all?

Bran is from GoT, it is short for Brandon in the books.

Makes me think of Stoker/Dracula but I think that's a good thing.

It was Branwell Brontë, but could still work. I quite like Bram on its own actually. I think it's cool.

Really like it, don't know any but like it lots. I'd probably go with Abraham but any of the options are nice.

Not sure why it matters that the name goes well with your first child's name? That said, Abraham isn't bad.

Sorry, but a big no, it just makes me think of Bramley apples......

It could be short for Bramwell (Bronte)
