Boring or actually quite cute?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Think it's a lovely name and on my shortlist. Also know a lovely Sally

JCMSD · 07/01/2014 05:10

Love it. Quite surprised actually that it has proven to be such a marmite name. On here at least.

ZenNudist · 06/01/2014 22:30

No

Kokomo5 · 06/01/2014 22:21

I really like the name Sally.

JabberJabberJay · 06/01/2014 22:17

Quite dated. Not a fan.

CeliaLytton · 06/01/2014 22:10

I like it, but not cute. Suits all ages, bouncy, happy name.

TheFarSide · 06/01/2014 21:42

Sally Field ... Sally Gunnell ... Sally Bercow ... Sally Thomsett ...

OBehaveMaeve · 06/01/2014 20:59

I like it but only about the same as I like Molly and Tilly and HOlly and Polly and Ellie.

Freesia2013 · 06/01/2014 20:55

I know a lovely Sally

Starballbunny · 06/01/2014 20:54

My DDs have an aunt Sally

somedizzywhore1804 · 06/01/2014 20:53

To say the opposite of the poster above, I never met a Sally I liked. Sorry OP!

TheFarSide · 06/01/2014 20:51

It's great - really unusual these days. I can't remember the last time I came across a Sally.

DawnOfTheDee · 06/01/2014 20:48

I never thought of it as dull. I think it's really nice and not as 'cutesy' as a lot of names ending in '-y'.

I think it's quite cool.

Tibby2 · 06/01/2014 20:45

Dull sorry

Alisvolatpropiis · 06/01/2014 20:18

Mustang Sally is the first thing that comes to mind.

It's a very 70's name.

FlatsInDagenham · 06/01/2014 20:05

It's nice.

And whoever said Sarah was dullsville - Angry

sarahquilt · 06/01/2014 18:53

I like it.

Ragwort · 06/01/2014 18:21

Lovely name, not too common these days which is nice.

somewhereinessex · 06/01/2014 18:15

I know a "Sali" - she's welsh. I think it's a nice name and better than Molly. I had a rag doll called Sally - her rag doll brother was Jake.

Flukewoman · 06/01/2014 18:11

I know an 18 year old Sally who is a lovely girl and actually extremely beautiful, which has coloured my thinking a bit - I like it!

willyoulistentome · 06/01/2014 18:08

I like. ... but then it is the name of my favourite ...aunt.

She is lovely so it has a good vibe for me.

eatyourveg · 06/01/2014 18:03

sally was the name I gave to my first car

DuchessofKirkcaldy · 06/01/2014 17:42

I like it.
I named my favourite doll Sally as a child. Smile

BunnyLebowski · 06/01/2014 17:38

Really dull and boring.

SS3J · 06/01/2014 17:37

I think it's cute. Obviously won't be to everyone's taste, but if you like it then go for it. It is no more boring than Polly, Molly, Holly etc which are all quite in at the moment. So I don't think it will sound dated.
