Help me name DC3 - mixed race

I'm 30 weeks pregnant with DC3. This will be a girl, we have 2 boys already. DH is British Indian, I am White British (or whatever you call it).

Our 2 DSs have Indian first names with Classic English Middle names.

Struggling to find a girl's name that we both like. Started off looking at Indian names but are now just looking at everything since it's getting closer to needing a name.

Any inspiration greatly appreciated!

Still looking for a name - am now 38 weeks - if anyone else has any suggestions.

My friends think I'm bonkers that I haven't settled on one yet so I do realise this is ridiculous. There are lots of non-sanscrit/indian names that I like (e.g. Jess, Jennie, Lauren) but I feel I ought to choose an indian name since my 2 boys have indian names (it would be like having Arun, Rajesh and Elizabeth).

A little girl at nursery with DD was called Anoushri, (I think that's the spelling) which I thought was very pretty. A more Western version would be Anoushka.

She knows someone else called Roshni. Also a Roshnika.

Of course there's Priya and Priyanka, which are both very popular I think.

I think I have run out of names which could be Western as well as Indian.

Crossover names like Nadia, Zara and Nina are nice but I think Anjali is gorgeous!

MyBaby - that's what we've done with our 2 boys (except sanscrit and v traditional English). Would like to do that with DD but just can't find a name we both really like.

Thanks for the other ideas everyone. Still not found the right one. Am also trawling websites. On mat leave as of end of this month so will have more time to peruse.

Any more ideas?

I knew an Ayesha at school, always thought it was the most beautiful name.

Also knew a Radhika and a Sajita, both lovely names.

Aruna - i have an indian colleague called this. Arun is also an irish girls name
Rubi - heard this at toddler group child had indian mum who said it was also an indian name

Yeah I think it's a minefield unless you're going to rhyme it with fire. I'm going to have to walk away from that name now (shame) since it's a close cousin who shares the name. I mean, DD of DH's cousin.

I'll revisit the list here (and the ones sent by my mum and mother-in-law) and start again.

Unless you used the 'Maia' spelling, but it seems unclear from the thread you linked to just how most people would pronounce that? Confused

Well in your case I would imagine the Indian side of the family would all assume "Maya" rhymes with "fire". So that would probably cause even more misunderstandings than are usual for anyone choosing the other possible pronunciation?
