I love the nn Mac and wonder what it could be short for other than MacKenzie for example?

I know a Mackenzie and a Mack which I think is a name in its own right.

Macsen- Welsh, tends to be shortened to Macs though.

Macdara ... both Irish names though, which you might not like.
My son is in school with a Macintyre, shortened to Mac.
