Which girl's combo would you choose?

I'm expecting a baby girl in March and am struggling with her name because my other two girls are half Brazilian. They both have English first names and Brazilian middle names.

They are: Savannah Gabriela Fernanda and Jessica Giovanna Pietra.

I am worried that this baby will feel left out because she will be white whereas my other two are mixed race. My Dad was Welsh and he died when I was quite young so I'm wondering about Welsh middle names to honour him and make this daughter feel like she has a special cultural heritage too.

Please can I have some (as harsh as you like) opinions on:

Natasha Rhiannyd Seren
Alexis Efa Liliwen
Arabella Arwen Rhian
Zara Myfanwy Nesta
Cassidy Nia Rhiannon

Any other combinations of those names that you think work better or any other suggestions very welcome.

Also, feel free to say if you think the Welsh thing is naff (I'm not Welsh but then nor am I Brazilian!) or will make her feel even more like the odd one out.

I'm not up to speed on Welsh names, not being Welsh myself but I think it is a lovely idea.

I love cassidy nia arabella and efa. Your baby probably won't feel left out even though her sisters are mixed race because you are white so will have you to relate to. From personal experience its harder of the child is different to everyone else including the mother.

Lovely idea btw.

Not keen on Cassidy or the combination Efa Liliwen.
love Arwen and Rhian.
my favourite combinations from your list are Arabella Arwen Rhian and Zara myfanwy Nesta.

but
I think Natasha goes better with your older daughters names.

I agree with Meala, Natasha fits better with savannah and Jessica but i prefer Rhiannon to Rhiannyd so how about Natasha Rhiannon Seren? I think it's lovely

Confitdecanard · 14/12/2013 18:22

I really like Alexis. I'd go with Alexis Nia Myfanwy. Lovely idea to have Welsh middle names.

Natasha Rhiannyd Seren

These are lovely names and I think it's a nice idea to highlight your daughter's Welsh heritage. I'm less keen on Cassidy though as I don't much like surnamey names; I also don't much like Nia as (to me at least) it looks like an abbreviation - N/A.

Personally I would avoid the Myfanwy Nesta combination, it suggests fannies/nests/something a bit bushy to me - but my mind has been known to travel unusually far out of its way to find smut Hmm. They are very pretty individually and in conjunction with your other suggestions.

How is Rhiannyd pronounced?

diddl · 14/12/2013 21:47

I love Zara Myfanwy Nesta!

MissingMyMarbles · 14/12/2013 21:56

Zara Arwen Seren (love Seren, but I'm a little biased Xmas Wink).

GW297 · 14/12/2013 22:13

All those names are lovely (including your 2 daughters names.)

manicinsomniac · 14/12/2013 22:19

Thanks for the thoughts (bunsof I nearly spat coke all over the keyboard at your myfanwy nesta connotations - definitely food for thought there! Rhiannyd is like Rhiannon but with an ith ending)

There are so many combinations I could go with. Aarghh, decisions decisions ...

Natasha Nia Nesta or is that too many Ns?

mathanxiety · 14/12/2013 23:07

Natasha Rhiannyd Seren -- prefer Natasha Seren Rhiannon (I think it flows better)
Alexis Efa Liliwen -- prefer Alexis Eva Liliwen
Arabella Arwen Rhian -- lovely but I would use Rhiannon
Zara Myfanwy Nesta -- Zara Nesta Myfanwy
Cassidy Nia Rhiannon -- I really dislike Cassidy,
prefer Nia Rhiannon Something; maybe a name that honours your other DDs' heritage and draws them together

In general I think it's better not to go overboard with the Welsh names given that your other DDs don't have them, so maybe one Welsh name each and the other two to blend with the other DDs.
