Non biblical girls names

I'm looking for a non biblical girl's name. Still want something quite classic, no flower names.
And when I say non biblical we also don't want names that are thought of as being part the 'Christian community' - so most Irish names , though I love them , and european names are out - nothing associated even vaguely as 'catholic'.
Any ideas?

Bethan is a cognate of either Elizabeth or Bethany - both Biblical, so that one needs crossing off too.

Yes I like a lot of the Greek names, and my son's name is roman. We ( especially my oh) don't want a name affiliated with a modern religion because his past involves - without going into detail- some quite extreme situations as a result of having grown up in an evangelical baptist environment which in his case was not healthy- and in fact one of the most bigoted environments I personally have ever come into direct contact with ( and I work for a human rights educational charity... so thats saying something) It isn't meant to be bigoted, but there are very definite personal reasons why for him it's important. It is not meant as an 'anti- religious'statement as such and in no way reflects our opinion of most religious people. There are LOADS of names I love that could be seen as 'biblical' - but I respect my oh's position on this one because I know the details of his reasons.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions, some good one's there. I like Aimee - spelt the French way - which just means loved rather than a saint's name I think. ( just realised would have been clearer if I'd explained I wanted non saints names really when I was saying 'non catholic' sorry if I confused people! ) and I love Bethan

If you want non European names you would need to be looking at more traditional African/Asian/American/Australasian names.

I think you will need to check carefully -several suggestions are in the Bible (Zoe, Lydia, Bethany - probabl others) or conspicuously Christian (such as Dorothea) or saints' names.

Do you like names fromth Greek myths?

Plenty of people regularly ask for example scottish, flower, unisex based names etc etc.

Anything very clearly associated with a different religious system, so a Greek or roman goddess. Even if the name happens to be somewhere in the bible, the association is clearly with that other religion.

Or go Nordic. Freya, Ingrid, there are some lovely Nordic names.
