Anya definately x

I have a Thea and have had nothing but compliments on her name. People can pronounce it fine. I liked that it is a strong girls name, though she has a flowery middle name!

They're all pretty. Good names OP!

If I had to choose - Thea.

NomDeClavier · 10/12/2013 09:30

Anya, although Thea is a very close second.

bundaberg · 10/12/2013 08:18

lisping friends would be able to say Thea anyway though surely?

HawtChocolate · 09/12/2013 20:59

Love Anya. Or Aine (Awnya), the Gaelic version.

Like Thea a lot, but prefer the Tay-ah pronunciation to Thee-ah.

Ava is played out, sorry.

DramaAlpaca · 09/12/2013 20:54

I think Anya is lovely, Ava is OK & Thea is awful.

Katherine by Anya Seton is my favourite book of all time Smile

Breezy1985 · 09/12/2013 20:52

Anya. Love Ava too, considering it's so popular I've never met one and there are none in my DC school.

lottiegarbanzo · 09/12/2013 20:48

Thea, though I'd call her Theadora, then any lisping friends could call her Dora or Dor instead.

Anya is lovely. Ava way too popular.

lighthousesea · 09/12/2013 16:22

Thea, the others are just too popular.

Lurleene · 09/12/2013 16:21

We have a Thea in our family -I though there would be a mythological story behind her name but she was named after Steve Redgrave's dog apparently!

mrssmith79 · 09/12/2013 16:14

Thea or Anya.

Ihatepeas · 09/12/2013 16:12

Anya is totally gorgeous... Love love love!

noodlebum · 09/12/2013 16:07

Anya! All pretty names but this is by far my favourite.

tipp2chicago · 08/12/2013 22:44

Thea!

Tapiocapearl · 08/12/2013 22:31

Thea

Suzietwo · 08/12/2013 21:52

I have a close family member called Anya, in her 40s. She loves her name.

Spanishomelette · 07/12/2013 21:22

Thanks everyone!

My fave is Anya and has been ever since I was about 14 and read Katherine by Anya Seton. My husband's favourite is Thea though, which I also think is very pretty so I would be happy if we went with this name.

Have to say, I hadn't realised Ava was so popular!

Thanks again and keep the comments coming Wink

Ava

hedgehogy · 07/12/2013 17:24

Anya. I've loved it ever since hearing it on 'The Murder Game' (anyone else remember that?!).

CordeliaRose · 07/12/2013 17:10

Anya would be my choice Thanks

Theas18 · 07/12/2013 17:07

Ummm slightly biased Wink

AnAdventureInCakeAndWine · 07/12/2013 17:06

I like the others as well, mind you. But Ava is very very very very popular at the moment.

AnAdventureInCakeAndWine · 07/12/2013 17:05

Thea. Would have used it if there hadn't been an awkward rhyming issue.
