That we should change? So hormonal and irrational can't think for myself!

They're not the same name. DD was one of three with her name on the ward, strange because I hadn't realised it was a popular name but it didn't put me off.

Stick to your name. Just reaffirms other people love it too.

I don't know any Nells. Go for it, lovely name!

It's just a coincidence, it doesn't mean that one out of two babies are called Nell. I only know of one Nell.

NoAddedSuga · 25/11/2013 10:50

That should say it wouldnt put me off

JemR234 · 25/11/2013 10:50

I don't know any babies called Nell/Helena, and it's lovely. Congratulations.

No, stick to your name. It's a minefield, one of our DC has a very unusual name and to my amazement she is one of three with the same name at school! You could change it and find your DC was still randomly one of 3 with that name. If you like it stick to it, it's not as if the other person in the ward is someone you will see again/often I presume?

Lancelottie · 25/11/2013 10:49

Our nursery had three Maisies in one year. I've never come across another before or since. Nah, you'll be fine with Nell.

NoAddedSuga · 25/11/2013 10:48

My dd was named a name that no one on the ward had heard of before!

If its a popular name then you will always come across someone with it at school, play groups etc.

If i really liked the name, it would put me off

Whats the name?

And congratulations!
