Flora and Otis for sure, although Clementine is gorgeous as is Caspar... argh, great list OP!

comemulledwinewithmoi · 22/11/2013 14:09

Love Ivy

Never heard Ruis but love it!

HeyJudith · 22/11/2013 14:07

Casper or Otis for a boy (prefer Otis) and Flora.

Good luck for the 6th :)

It isn't,is it?!
It's fine...I mean...Juniper Berries are nice...and it's not actually Berry...soo...

JugglingFromHereToThere · 22/11/2013 13:54

But even juniper berry isn't all that much of a problem is it?
I thought Ju-ju in particular would be a lovely short name

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 22/11/2013 13:50

NO no no no no no no no no. NOOOOOOOOO!

I'd totally actually, made a frigging decision and everything!

I could change our surname..

Juniper G E O R G E is okay,right? Right?!

OP posts:
squoosh · 22/11/2013 13:45

Yikes, Juniper P-e-r-r-y G-e-o-r-g-e is indeed a bit Juniper berryish!

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 22/11/2013 13:44

Noooooo!

OP posts:
cavell · 22/11/2013 13:29

You can't go for Juniper with your surname... far too much like Juniper Berry, IMO.

Flora and Caspar are my favourites.

DiamondsAndRust · 22/11/2013 13:21

So hard to choose - I feel your pain! Personally would narrow it down to Juniper or Clementine and Zephyr or Caspar. Have eliminated Ruis because of the pronunciation issue - I like it, and am fine with obscure, but this is perhaps a little too obscure!

Like Dulcie, but agree that it's a bit cutesy/insubstantial for a FN. Might work really well as a MN, though (ditto Juniper, if you decide not to go with it as a FN)? If I had to choose just one, I think I'd go with Juniper and Zephyr. Both are awesome and have great NN potential. Caspar and Clementine are also good, but feel a little less unique and a little more 'establishment'!

SootikinAndSweep · 22/11/2013 12:50

Step away from the 'using a male name as a female one' thing.

I too feel I know the OP, am a frequent name changer but have stalked your name lists before. Grin

Feel I must speak up against Ruis, the pronunciation thing would drive me mad.

DitsyDonkey · 22/11/2013 12:48

Flora Juniper

Asa

Allalonenow · 22/11/2013 12:33

Dulcie

Caspar

(Flora a very close second, but Orietta sounds like a pasta to me)

BikeRunSki · 22/11/2013 12:30

Flora and Otis

cloggal · 22/11/2013 12:28

I was just going to say that Zephy is very like Sephy, nn of my colleague's daughter Persephone! Definitely works for both genders I think Frigg.

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 22/11/2013 12:23

Hmm,true...

OP posts:
sOODdragon · 22/11/2013 12:17

I know it is a male name but traditionally so are Robin, Jamie, Spencer and Rowan amongst others.

Kyrptonite · 22/11/2013 12:10

Arlo and Ivy sounds like a pretentious restaurant. Bring back Dulcie!!

Zephyr is awesome. DS is 11 weeks could I get away with changing his name?

poppydaisy · 22/11/2013 12:01

Skye, Arlo & Zephyr
Skye, Arlo & Ivy

mynameisnotmichaelcaine · 22/11/2013 12:00

Caspar isn't actually in the Bible though, it was a name given later by someone retelling the tale. It's from the Persian word for treasurer.

Saminthemiddle · 22/11/2013 11:51

Skye, Arlo and Flora or Ivy or Casper

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 22/11/2013 11:32

Zephyr is the Greek god of the west wind,so,definitely a male name.

Zephyrine is the female derivative.

OP posts:
sOODdragon · 22/11/2013 11:29

Is there any reason you can't have a girl called Zephyr? It doesn't sound singularly male to me...

spiderlight · 22/11/2013 11:16

Ruis is fab!

Timetoask · 22/11/2013 11:14

My votes go to:
Clementine
Caspar

Lovely names!
