I like it. Only reservation would be having to keep saying whether it was NAY-oh-me, Nay-OH-me or Ny-OH-me.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 18/11/2013 18:13

Like it a lot. Considered it for my DD but DH wasn't sold on it. Not sure why. The only thing is the 2 different pronounciations and how much it would bother you and in future your DD when it's mispronounced.

Slavetominidictator · 18/11/2013 17:05

First name, not first time. Autocorrect....

Dillydollydaydream · 18/11/2013 17:05

I like it.

Slavetominidictator · 18/11/2013 17:05

I used it as a middle name for DD. Didn't use as a first time as didn't want her to have a life time of 'It's Naomi, not Niomi, actually....' Don't know why it's so widely mispronounced but it isn't even a small minority who do it.

TheRobberBride · 18/11/2013 17:04

I like it

YoDiggity · 18/11/2013 17:02

I'm not wild about it but it isn't hideous. I think it's a difficult name to get right and is open to various mispronunciations and can be ugly sounding from the mouths of people with very harsh accents, but it's an ok name in itself.

IsabellaRockerfeller · 18/11/2013 17:01

Love it, it was our name if we ever had a girl.

Strong and not frilly/fussy. Also quite rare.

HoratiaDrelincourt · 18/11/2013 16:59

Yay.

One reservation: there are two pronunciations (one right, one wrong).

It's a good solid non-frilly but feminine name with good associations.

orangepudding · 18/11/2013 16:58

I don't like it but it's only because I went to Uni with one and she was not a nice person!

phantomhairpuller · 18/11/2013 16:56

I love it Grin

Mckayz · 18/11/2013 16:56

I really like it.

HandragsNGladbags · 18/11/2013 16:54

I like it, and it's on our list for DC3.

MyNameIsSuz · 18/11/2013 16:53

I like it! Not sure why, I just like the sound of it. Not too frilly but still pretty. And not particularly tied to any generation.
