Eliza is nice, nn Lizzy. I teach 3 Martha's, 1 Eliza and no Clara's (primary) .

I know an Eliza who is a piece of work - and she is a grown up. So no to Eliza. I think I like Martha best.

I like Clara but am not too fussed on Martha.

We have a 4 year old Martha. I don't know any others. She suits it down to the ground. Smile

I think Eliza is beautiful Smile. Clara sounds a bit clumsy to me - I think it's awkward to say somehow. And Martha's a bit old fashioned for my liking.

I'm probably outing myself but I have an Eliza and a Clara. I can't tell you the number of genuine compliments I have had regarding them. Beautiful names that will go with them in which ever direction they chose to travel.

Close call between Eliza and Martha but I would go for Eliza.

Not keen on Clara, makes me think of cows and matronly Austrian women with plaits.

All fabulous names and were on my short list for dd1. I love Martha but my DH hated it (but couldn't say why!). I'll be keeping Clara and Eliza on the list for the next one.
