Ok... Seems like Hett (Hetty - a pink hoover) and Hamzah (hamster) is out.

Heath is the most usable.

I would avoid anything linked with death so Hades and Azriel are a no.

Hamzah is a horrible name. It's not just that you don't have an Asian connection it's also just not that nice.

Hett is ridiculous.

Azriel and Reitman -- some very nice people we know and admire, and they like their names.

(For some background info, i'm not english, and my DH grew up in USA -- so we're into something international)

Heath is very nice, I like it.

Dustin is not terrible at all.

Kyle is at least a name. Not my style, but fine.

H(A)drian - not utterly dreadful. I can imagine someone having that name.

Hett, Hades Shock Hamzah Shock Arn - really, really awful. Just... Awful. Hades? Really?

Azriel - some kind of angel, a Biblical name
Reitman - an American hedge fund or financial company

Here's my first word association with them:

Hett - het up,annoyed, irritated
Heath - a landscape (like Egdon Heath in Thomas Hardy)
Hamzah - militant cleric, a name from a non British heritage, lifetime of having to repeat his name if child is white British, nickname of Ham
Hadrian/Adrian - a wall, Adrian Mole, old fashioned, skin mole, the chant moley moley moley from á film (can't remember which one)
Hades - king of the underworld, kidnapped Persephone, not a nice bloke
Kyle - there are 3 Kyle's in DS2's reception class, he will always be Kyle B or Kyle H etc
Arn/Arnes - sounds French, a lifetime of having to repeat his name
Dustin - the Rainman film, a dustbin

The only one I vaguley like is Heath.
Kyle would be ok at a push.
Don't like Dustin but do like Justin!
Really dislike the others.

Too bizarre for me I'm afraid. Heath is the best of a pretty bad bunch. No offence intended.

Please don't name a baby anything to do with hell or death though. Not Hades, Azriel, Lucifer, Beelzebub or Styx.

I honestly love Ryan Singh. Super pretty combo and a great name that will age well. We get really positive responses about the name and his siblings agree it is the best name ever.
