It's Zephyr

I know it's a bit marmite but I don't care.
We Love it.
It's a 'real' name,it works with sibling names, gives cool nn's Zeph or Zephy...fits all our criteria Grin

So,Middle names for Zephyr please!

A wonderful name Frigg, it's been my favourite word for most of my life, never thought about using it as a name. I may be a little biased towards Robin as a middle name... Even if I do prefer it spelt differently, but seeing as you're expecting a boy I suppose you should stick to the right spelling for his gender.

BlackholesAndRevelations · 03/11/2013 17:16

Zephyr Jude sounds awesome!

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 03/11/2013 17:15

I just don't like James,it's just too....Meh...

Never heard it - but love it Grin not that you asked!

I love the suggestion of North as a mn and also Quinn.

How about Luke or Luc or even the fuller Lucas?

MrsCharlieD · 03/11/2013 16:15

Zephyr beau

Zephyr steele

Afiach · 03/11/2013 16:15

I'm liking
Zephyr James
Zephyr Tate
Zephyr Rhett
Zephyr Mack

ophiotaurus · 03/11/2013 16:05

Pax

Zef-ur is probably as close to explaining it as I can get....I'm rubbish at phonetic spelling.

As an aside, the first family car I remember was a Ford Zephyr called Charlie Farnsbarns [happy sigh]

Not that I am recommending Charlie Farnsbarns as middle names :o

SoupDragon · 03/11/2013 16:03

I know James is a "safe" name but Zephyr James does sound good.

CordeliaRose · 03/11/2013 16:03

It wouldn't be a proper Sunday without one of your baby name threads Frigg Grin
Zephyr Beau
Zephyr Blaise
Zephyr Cole
Zephyr Fox
Zephyr Gil
Zephyr Guy
Zephyr Joel
Zephyr Kit

RandomCitizen · 03/11/2013 16:02

This is all very well, but how do you say it? Is it like Zeffer, or Zeph-ear, or nothing like that at all?

I like a lot of names on paper but saying it out loud is the test and if you are stumbling over it then so will other people.

It's got to flow.

(just rambling here, I am stumbling but I'm sure you're not!)

Zephyr North

Zephyr Boreas (god of wind)

Zephyr Odin

Zephyr Yule

octopusinastringbag · 03/11/2013 15:53

Somebody mentioned Rowan, I like Zephyr but I think I'd go for Rowan Zephyr rather than the other way round.

BoyMeetsWorld · 03/11/2013 15:47

It's lovely! I think a long mn would sound pretentious though. How about...

Zephyr Todd
Zephyr Jon / Zephyr Jean
Zephyr Zane
Zephyr Paul
Zephyr James
