Hi, it's me again Grin.

Can I have people's opinions on these names?

And also, which 3 you think best go together, and which go best with the names Autumn and April?
Having a hard time deciding, thanks everyone!

Hi everyone,

BoyMeetsWorld, I have seen game of thrones but don't remember a Yara.

Bakingtins, thank you! Thinking about Iris..

Rhubarbgarden, I've never actually known any Eve's. Thank you for the suggestions, quite liking Briar.

Any thoughts on Cherry?

Wren? Linnet?

Sorry I'll stop now.

Rhubarbgarden · 03/11/2013 11:20

Flora?

Rhubarbgarden · 03/11/2013 11:14

I like Ember.

I would avoid Eve as there are so many of them, and your other girls have such lovely imaginative names I should think poor Eve would wonder why she'd drawn the short straw with such a boring three-to-a-class name.

Opal is too similar to April. How about Pearl instead?

Ivy is nice.

Ivory - dead elephants; awful.

Yara - don't like it. Mara instead, perhaps?

Some other suggestions: Briar, Storm, Fern

Bakingtins · 03/11/2013 07:04

Eve, Amber & Ivy

Don't like Ember for the same reasons as everyone else.
Opal nice but too similar to April.
Ivy is a bit old lady? Don't like Ivory at all, negative associations with dead elephants. How about Iris?
Not keen on Yara and it doesn't go with the others.

5 girls - wow! Congratulations!

Littlecherublegs · 02/11/2013 15:37

I like Eve though prefer Eva or Ava.
I wouldn't use Opal if you have April, too similar.
Not keen on Ember, didnt even realise it was a name and just makes me think of burning wood!
Ivy is nice, not keen on Ivory.

If you are wanting nature theme names beginning with a vowel how about:
Ebony
Emerald
Eartha
Iris
India
Apple
Olive
Ocean

BoyMeetsWorld · 02/11/2013 14:51

Also re: Yara - she's a character in Game of Thrones, and not an especially appealing one!!!!

BoyMeetsWorld · 02/11/2013 14:47

Eve, Ember and Opal. Particularly love the last two - fabulous names!!!

CountingStars · 02/11/2013 10:34

Yes, twins and expecting triplets!

They are probably our top 3, just not totally sure yet.

Congratulations on your lovely family :)

What a great dilemma to be in.

I second the poster who said Eve, Ember and Ivy go best.

I've loved the name Ember since she is one of the twins in ElfQuest. Pics here

comewinewithmoi · 02/11/2013 08:56

You've got twins and are expecting trips??

CountingStars · 02/11/2013 08:50

We're wanting nature themed names but since it's triplets and they have to go with our twin's names (April and Autumn) it's much harder. Eve/Ember are probably our top two, but don't really want the initials problem again, so suggestions are welcome!

baskingseals · 02/11/2013 08:32

Oh glad you like it. I think it is lovely. My fantasy twin girls are Stella and Astrid.

Have you got a decent list yet? Would you like more suggestions?

CountingStars · 02/11/2013 08:07

baskingseals, Stella is actually quite nice, I hadn't thought of that!

OP posts:
baskingseals · 02/11/2013 08:00

Really like Opal. Also like Emerald.
What about Ebony? Or Stella?

CountingStars · 02/11/2013 07:55

Okay, well I'll have a look!

OP posts:
Artandco · 01/11/2013 22:13

Sorry no idea! ( but Lara is mother of superman if that's any help :) )

CountingStars · 01/11/2013 21:27

Artandco, what does Lara mean?

OP posts:
Artandco · 01/11/2013 21:22

I like all the names but thing opal and April are too similar

Ivy is nice, as is Iris
What about Eira? It means snow.

Eira , Iris, and Lara

Or

Eira, Iris and :

Saffron
Ruby
Violet
Willow
Luna
Thalia

I would try and avoid x2 of any letter as at leat then you can initial their things when you have x3 of them

stickysausages · 01/11/2013 21:15

Opal & ivory sound like exotic dancers imho

CountingStars · 01/11/2013 21:08

Vatta, I think I have to agree with you on Yara, but it's such a pretty name (imo).

QuickQuickSloe, Ilex sounds okay, but it seems a bit like Alex to me(not that I can complain with the whole Ember/Amber).

OP posts:
CountingStars · 01/11/2013 21:06

Ha LondonNightmareInGhostlyBoots! Made me laugh.
Thanks for your opinion.

OP posts:
QuickQuickSloe · 01/11/2013 21:05

I think Eve, Opal and Ivy go best together, but I am not sure about Opal. Aren't they supposed to be an unlucky gemstone?

I know you are not wanting any A names but how about Alba, from visum alba loranthaceae aka mistletoe? Or Ilex for holly?

Vatta · 01/11/2013 21:04

I'd go with ivy, opal and eve. They go well together, and with your older DDs.

Yara is one of my faviourite names actually (may try to persuade DH if we ever have a girl!) but I don't think it's sits so well with any of the others.

Ivory is pretty, but will constantly get mistaken for ivy I think, which will be annoying for your dd.

And I agree with what others have said, ember just doesn't have good connotations for a name.

How exciting t have triplets on the way!

LondonNightmareInGhostlyBoots · 01/11/2013 21:01

Ember, ivy and Eve I think, they go well as triplet names and sit with your other dds names. I don't like Yara, its just odd imo, and Opal is just not as nice. I really like Ember, its my favourite out of your names above. Hmm at the its a dying fire - yeah embers die, but ivy destroys walls, autumn is cold and goes into winter, april rains, amber is dead tree sap - you can do that with any name that means something else directly!!
