I've looked around at all the new brand new shiny names out there, and dh and I just can decide on one. So we have decided to try and restore a name another MN poster doesn't want anymore. So if you have any names you've out-grown, are a little too old fashioned for you or simply not to your taste but you see how someone else might like them, feel free to donate them here...cannot offer any incentives other than the promise to give all offers due consideration Smile

wigglesrock I love your boys' names :) (and I have a Joe, so clearly your taste is exquisite Grin)

I've 3 girls so I'll donate my boys names : Dominic, Joe, Leo & Gabriel Smile

Having had my kids - I will also throw Tess into the sorting hat. I love it, but wasn't appreciated by my husband. Just Tess as a stand alone name.

LadyDowagerHatt · 24/10/2013 19:45

I loved Elliot or Charlie for a boy but DC2 was a DD. Also like Astrid or Erica for her but couldn't convince DH.

CruCru · 24/10/2013 19:33

I love Beatrice and Miriam but DH doesn't.

mum2jakie · 24/10/2013 18:59

Layla and Sidonie for daughters I've never had. (Proud mum of three boys!)

Sapeke · 24/10/2013 18:48

Amoret, from the Elizabethan epic The Faerie Queen. Everyone I mentioned it to just laughed and said wot, like the biscuits? To be fair it would NOT have suited her.

Mavis
Sophia

Wanted Vivienne for a girl but turns out am having a boy - so please take that one!

I liked Gabriel for a boy but then called DD Gabriella so can't use that one either!

May I donate the following to your very worthwhile cause?

Frances Q(uennie) - but it didn't go with DH's surname
Helena Maud ( she was a DS not a DD2)

and the boys names that fell off the list onto the delivery room floor when DS was born.

Hugh and Guy

Lor, it makes me alarmingly broody just looking at them. The children I never had, as I'm well beyond child bearing age now.

op, do let us know if you decide on any of these pre-loved names. Lovely thread. Thank you

Tattiesthroughthebree · 23/10/2013 23:48

Annie Victoria. We won't be having a DD2 now, so feel free.

BillyBanter · 23/10/2013 23:32

Frikadellen · 23/10/2013 16:55

Sholto for a boy

Karenza for a girl

rockybalBOOOOa · 23/10/2013 16:35

Nancy. On the grounds that I am completely unable to produce girl children. Gabriel, Magnus and Wilfred were the names which didn't suit DS3.

blibblibs · 23/10/2013 16:28

Verity
Tilly
Meredith

DH didn't like any of them so we have a different name for DD, which is lovely and very her, but I still love those.

Weegiemum · 23/10/2013 16:19

Elaine
Louise
Madeline
Emma

Matthew
Brendan
Paul (but is my ds middle name)
