Which one do you prefer and why?

Alexandra is lovely. I dislike Alice it sounds really twee.

Lucyadams184 · 22/10/2013 10:41

I prefer Alexandra but I like both.

iseenodust · 22/10/2013 10:34

Alexandra
(there was a very spiteful Alice at my school years ago so just not a name with good vibes for me)

GwendolineMaryLacey · 22/10/2013 10:26

We tossed up between these two as well and went for Alice.

playingwithlegos · 22/10/2013 10:24

I agree with coupon - Alexandra has more personality! But Alice is more feminine.

I had this exact debate! We went for Alexandra in the end because we liked that there were quite a few nn options as with Alice all you have is Ally, which I wasn't keen on.
She's mostly called Alex or Lex.

GeekInThePink · 22/10/2013 09:44

Alice, just a beautiful classic name biased

I love both but my favourite is Alexandra but as Alexandria. I love Alex and Lexie as nicknames.

My names for a dd were:

Alexandria Charlotte
Alice Charlotte

capercaillie · 21/10/2013 22:39

Alice - I have one. I like that it can't be shortened or there isn't an obvious shortening.

I do also love Alexandra though. I don't like Alex as a short version.
