Parker Sandford Bridge?
Maybe not Smile

imofftolisdoonvarna · 18/10/2013 21:43

I love the way that usualsuspect comes onto any potentially 'chavvy' baby name thread to declare that she loves the name and berate people for being judgy.

It's almost as certain as the sun rising and setting, I reckon she must have some kind of baby name homing device that beeps wildly when anyone on mumsnet insinuates that a name might be a bit 'chav'.

I don't mind Parker I guess, but it's no different from all the other surnames names that are trying to be a bit unique, e.g.. Cooper, Grayson, Quinn etc.

congrats to them both though, now will it be molly or Vanessa next....?

Thisisaeuphemism · 18/10/2013 20:50

Not true swoosh; London, tower, and Westminster suit bridge rather than Sandford.

Alisvolatpropiis · 18/10/2013 20:25

Twitter I reckon Grin

squoosh · 18/10/2013 20:20

I think most names would sound better followed by Sandford rather than Bridge.

Thisisaeuphemism · 18/10/2013 20:19

How can we let frankie know?!

Alisvolatpropiis · 18/10/2013 20:17

I thought that Thisisaeuphemism

Thisisaeuphemism · 18/10/2013 20:15

Parker Sandford would work better.

Alisvolatpropiis · 18/10/2013 20:14

I like Parker. Not sure about how it sounds with the surname but Parker is perfectly nice.

I have a large soft spot for Cooper if we're talking occupation names.

Parker is generally a boys name in the US. I've known several. Not a bad name, just a bit funny with the surname Bridge.

ShadeofViolet · 18/10/2013 18:21

I like Parker

But I dont think it goes well with the surname.

oldboiler · 18/10/2013 18:19

He is a footballer and they generally lack class, hence the names. Although do prefer Parker to Jaydon.

MaryBerrysBlazer · 18/10/2013 16:39

Ah don't be so mean.

Parker is a fine name.

MikeLitorisBites · 18/10/2013 15:58

Another interested to hear what oldboiler means.

Parker Bridge sounds fine to me. Heard worse.

usualsuspect · 18/10/2013 15:52

I like the name Parker.

Would like to know what oldboilers getting at though.

Although I have no clue who the couple are tbh.

squoosh · 18/10/2013 15:46

Parker Bridge does sound odd, trafficy and carparky.

daughterofafarmer · 18/10/2013 14:55

Ohh her off The Saturday's...

Get it now.

RightsaidFreud · 18/10/2013 14:51

Parker is a great name, but not with their surname. I've always thought of it as a boys name.

daughterofafarmer · 18/10/2013 14:48

Who???

Don't mind Parker, heard worse, heard better. Agree with thenuns sounds too traffic like . At least it's not London Grin

Choccyhobnob · 18/10/2013 14:38

I don't mind the name Parker I guess although it reminds me of Thunderbirds and the annoying character in Friends played by Alec Baldwin! But Parker Bridge doesn't go well to my ears.
