What's a good full name for NN Rosie?

That's it really - we love the name Rosie but are unsure whether that should go on her birth certificate or whether we should go for a more formal option, maybe Rose or Rosanna?

The Rosie I know is Rosemary Jane and was variously called Rosie, Rosemary or Jane by different family members.

When she started school she was asked which she liked best, and 30 years later she's still Rosie. She's as nice as she is beautiful and about the same size as my 12y, Rosie suits her perfectly.

I know of two rosalies - one is nn rosa

LauraChant · 18/10/2013 18:09

Both my sons would have been Rosie if they had been a girl but I hadn't settled on what their "official name" would be. My shortlist was:

Rose
Anna Rose
Annie Rose
Roseanna
Roslyn

Boggler · 18/10/2013 16:59

Rosina is a nice variant and you can shorten to Rosie x

I have a Six day old Rosie. It really suits her, it's the name we like and I didn't think it was necessary to think of a formal version just for her birth certificate etc.

Pachacuti · 18/10/2013 11:33

I know three Rosies; two of them are Rose on their birth certificates and one is Rosanna. I like Rosalie, though, and if I'd been having a Rosie I'd have used Rosalind (family name plus I like the Shakespeare connection).
