Surname. ONLY.

Writerwannabe83 · 16/10/2013 10:54

It is a surname isn't it?
And although I do like some surnamey-names, in my opinion this shouldn't be used as one for either sex Smile

SaggyIsHavingAPinkKitten · 16/10/2013 10:35

Round here its the name of an ice cream company!

squoosh · 16/10/2013 10:27

Hadley Freeman is the only Hadley I've ever heard of so I think 'girl'. Although, it's also the surname of the evil prison warden in The Shawshank Redemption.

I'm sure the actor playing Javert in Les Miserables when I saw it last year was called Hadley......may have been a stage name though?

curlew · 15/10/2013 23:25

Neither. Not a name for a human being.

MarianneBrandon · 15/10/2013 23:23

DD means dear daughter

MarianneBrandon · 15/10/2013 23:19

Female character in True Blood so I would say an American girls name

BikeRunSki · 15/10/2013 22:56

Girl, Ernest hemmingway's first wife, also journalist (girl) Hadley Freeman. Have never come across any boys or animals called Hadley.

quertas · 15/10/2013 22:49

junebaby2014 · 15/10/2013 20:42

PeteCampbellsRecedingHairline · 15/10/2013 18:38

MrsApplepants · 15/10/2013 18:38

""And here's our daughter, Lower-Slaughter, yes, it's hyphenated , and our son Teddington, we call him Teddy for short"

Better than Pratt's Bottom I suppose Grin

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 15/10/2013 18:25

Hadleigh is an estate agent around here.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 15/10/2013 18:23

Girl. Very American, like all those Peytons and Harpers and things.

I wouldn't have known what to think. It sounds a bit like a handbag brand.

devonsmummy · 15/10/2013 18:20

I'd say boy's

ErrolTheDragon · 15/10/2013 18:18

I sometimes wonder if some American parents choose names by sticking a pin into a map of England Grin
