What do you think of Francesca? Is it a bit dated or do you see it as classic? Thanks

People never respect you wanting your child's full name to be used. People shorten everything bastards

Gingersnap88 · 04/10/2013 23:44

Will always be shortened to Fran whether you like it or not! My mum hates Fran and only wanted people to use Francesca but they tend to assume.

But, it's not that common and pretty Smile

SirChenjin · 04/10/2013 23:40

I think you can insist on the full name being used, but imo it can be difficult to ensure everyone sticks to your request sadly. Using it as a middle name is a good idea Smile

Mintyy · 04/10/2013 23:39

Utterly beautiful and gorgeous.

Really, a top 3 name.

LalyRawr · 04/10/2013 23:38

My daughter was called Francesca so slightly biased when I say I love it.

We called her Chester or Chess as a nickname.

Tikkamasala · 04/10/2013 23:37

Yes Sirchengin I don't like the nicknames, fran, Frankie etc... Nor am I keen on Chesca really. Only the full name. I'm not sure if they could be avoided? Maybe it's one to keep as a middle name only

Not so keen on Franny or Fran though, but maybe that's not an issue?
