Calling all those in the SW / SE of England, How many Henry's do you know

And what age roughly are they?

Just thinking that possibly it might be quite good with DD (Honor) Two 'H' aside what do you think?

We know a few, aged between 3 and 11. Lots of Harrys here too, some of which may be 'Henrys' officially.

Love Honor - beautiful underused name! Henry is ok but a little more trendy.

Henry would just be Henry. Do love Harry, but a great friend has one so a bit to close.

If you're in SW London, there will be about 2 Henrys per class of 4 year olds, and if you're talking private schools, then you're looking at 4.

I am in London and know none. My kids not in school yet though.

I don't know any little ones (probably because I don't have friends with small boys -our children are older). But DS1 (16) and DS2 (11) both have at least a couple of Henrys in their year groups.

DS1 is one of two in his Y1 class of 27
There are at least two or three others in the school
To that end he is usually known as Henry Surname
(SE not London)

I only know grown-up Hamishes (2 that I can think of). Isn't it a Scottish version of James?

I'm in SE. DS (14) has 2 Henrys in his rugby team.

I don't know many small children, though, and none of the ones I do know are called Henry.

2 in DS's year (yr 6)

Proabably a fair smattering throughout the playground. It's like Edward, Sam, Alex - lots of them about but still a great name.

I 'm in the South East and have to say that it is the most popular name for the under 5s in this area . My eldest son is 9 and we have come across a couple his age, however my youngest is at nursery school and there are 3 in his class and loads at the various groups we go to.

Thomas also seems to be growing in popularity. Lots the same age as my eldest but they are always shortened to Tom. The young ones I know are never shortened and I 'm coming across lots of newborn little boys called Thomas.

ohone yes you're correct.

I think Honor and Henry flows better than Honor and Hamish IYSWIM. Does that make sense or am I over thinking it Hmm?

I do like Hamish. Just nothing grabbing us at all.

I think I'd find it hard not to say 'enry. I think it would be difficult because Honor doesn't use the 'H' sound. So " 'onor and 'enry" would accidentally come out.

Where was Henry in the Top 100 last year? That's normally a good indication of how popular it can get.

I live is SE London and I don't know any Henrys. Most of the boys have less traditional English names or else mid east european names as I live in a very diverse inner city area.

p.s. no Honors either :)
