Please can you tell me what first comes into your head and perhaps what sort of girl you think she might be. I love my boys names, have short listed to 4. But I haven't fallen in love with any name for a girl. I like them, or like them for other people...just not one for me!
I love longer names with a nn but hubby just likes nn. Fresh ideas welcome.
Weird mix of tastes I know...

Tabitha
Alana
Edith
Nell
Martha
Anastasia
Brooke
Autumn
Winnie
Sloane
Quinn
Clemmie
Scarlett
Tatum
Xanthe
Talia
Willow
Ottilie
Savannah
Eden
Lilia
Cassidy
Tallulah
Bonnie
Tatiana
Saskia
Jemima
Sasha
Alicia
Constance
Florence
Annie
Jasmine
Sadie
Milla
Cassia
Cordelia
Arabella

Thanks for all help xx

Nell or Martha

AintNobodyGotTimeFurThat · 04/10/2013 19:48

Tabitha - bit old fashioned for my liking.
Alana - pretty name.
Edith - sounds like an old lady.
Nell - not my cup of tea, but nothing wrong with it... It just seems like it's shortened from another name, instead of a name in it's own right.
Martha - It's OK.
Anastasia - Quite nice.
Brooke - Quite like.
Autumn - Not a bad name, but better for a middle name imo.
Winnie - No, makes me think of an old lady at the bingo.
Sloane - How would you pronounce it?
Quinn - Not my cuppa.
Clemmie - Either Clementine, or Clement. Clemmie isn't a name in itself, as far as I'm aware. Of course, you can make it so.
Scarlett - It's alright, but not to keen on having a double t at the end.
Tatum - No.
Xanthe - Alright.
Talia - OK.
Willow - Better for a middle name but not a bad name.
Ottilie - Don't really have an opinion on it, to be honest.
Savannah - Quite a pretty name.
Eden - Better for a middle name, but not too bad.
Lilia - Pretty, but a lot like Lily.
Cassidy - I again would favour this more as a middle name. Quite nice as a middle name, actually.
Tallulah - Not really my thing, but nothing wrong with it.
Bonnie - Makes me think of Bonnie n Clyde, so not really into it.
Tatiana - OK.
Saskia - Not really into it.
Jemima -Alright.
Sasha - Not really liking it.
Alicia - Pretty name.
Constance - Sounds more like a place name, than a name for a girl.
Florence - Same as above. Although nothing directly wrong with this one, could work as a middle name. NN would be Florry.
Annie - My grandma is named this, but nothing wrong with it pretty timeless name.
Jasmine - Pretty name.
Sadie - OK name.
Milla - Don't really like it.
Cassia - I prefer Cassie or Cassandra which are both nice names.
Cordelia - No, makes me think of Buffy.
Arabella - Pretty name, not sure I'd name my daughter it though. Lovely for a kitten though

My favourite is Martha.
Also like Cordelia, Lilia, and Scarlett.
I surprise myself in quite liking Sloane - know there is a US tennis player called this and that's the only one I know of. It's quite masculine and strong sounding though.
My least favourites from your list are Bonnie, Winnie, Nell and Constance.

Leeds2 · 02/10/2013 20:36

Tatty could be short for Natalia, which is a pretty name.

Saskia was one of my fave names when DD was born (after a doctor who, imo, saved her life during my pregnancy). I had never heard the name before. My sister asked if I had any names planned, and when I said Saskia she cracked up laughing, and had obviously thought I was joking. It sort of put me off! Shortly after DD was born, a Saskia shot Martin Kemp's character in Eastenders, so I was glad I hadn't chosen it. Still like it though!

Jasmine - no
Sadie - no
Milla - knew one as a child but not my favourite name
Cassia - not so keen
Cordelia - no
Arabella - no

Is Francesca any good?

Breezy1985 · 01/10/2013 21:50

Talia, Eden or Autumn are my favourites on your list.

Talia and Eden were on my list 8 years ago for dc2 but had ds and I still love them.

My niece is an Autumn Smile So I'm biased
