If he takes as long as he did writing book five, we'll probably still be waiting for book six when little Khaleesi is deciding what to call her own children Grin

iamusuallybeingunreasonable · 06/10/2013 09:42

Sounds like Kleeneze or Kleenex to me

JazzAnnNonMouse · 06/10/2013 09:37

(Probably best for a middle name though!)

JazzAnnNonMouse · 06/10/2013 09:31

People name their children princess-why not.

Got will probably not really be remembered when she's grown up.

It's a nice sounding name tbh!

squoosh · 06/10/2013 03:13

I love Game of Thrones just don't love the name Khaleesi one little bit.

JumpingJackSprat · 06/10/2013 00:08

game of thrones is utter shite. just because you love it, doesnt mean that your child wont see it for the pile of misogynistic wank that it really is. so i wouldnt do it.

rosyryan · 05/10/2013 20:17

Ha! I thought this was going to be a joke thread. 21 born last year?? What the hell are people ON?

sashh · 05/10/2013 18:23

She should also have trained Darrio better

Yy. More time training dragons, less time drinking honeyed wine, nibbling on olives and shagging darrio.

sashh · 05/10/2013 13:34

PossessedPollyPumpkin

And what is the point of riding a dragon if you can't control it? She really should have trained them better.

PossessedPollyPumpkin · 04/10/2013 12:35

YY, she was really boring in the last book. I got so fed up with the "I am just a young girl and know nothing of the ways of war"

I preferred her when she was burning people alive, sacking cities and raising armies Grin

MissBattleaxe · 04/10/2013 12:33

Don't name your child this. It's frankly unkind.

squoosh · 04/10/2013 12:29

Yes. And manage to be oh so boring whilst doing all of the above

sashh · 04/10/2013 12:28

I just think the character is very strong woman which I love.

Yes one has to be strong to murder a husband and burn someone alive. oh and to raise an army to take revenge on the people who killed your father (even though he was a murderous lunatic who roasted people alive).

TobyLerone · 04/10/2013 10:10

I'm not going to lie -- Daenerys is pretty much decided on for a middle name if this one's a girl. But Khaleesi is a step too far!

GillyBillyWilly · 04/10/2013 07:50
Shock

I am a huge GoT fan but seriously...NO.

Nest0fVapors · 03/10/2013 22:33

I thought it said Khazi at first!

spatchcock · 03/10/2013 22:12

No way. I'm usually really liberal about names but this time ... NO.

picnicbasketcase · 03/10/2013 21:59

It's a good point about it dating too, like if you'd had kids in the late eighties and named them Scott and Charlene.

Sleepthief · 03/10/2013 21:30

It's not a name, even in the books; it's a title, like Prime Minister, or chief executive...

NomDeClavier · 03/10/2013 12:00

No no no no no. No. No.

She has an incestuous relationship with her brother, gets basically sold off to the local horse lord and goes a tad loony.

Just don't. It's good fiction but that's where it needs to stay.

If you absolutely must use a GOT name use one that's an actual name and exists in the real world. Like Arya/Aria.

BadSeedsAddict · 03/10/2013 12:00

If you really love it, make it a middle name. My kids have crazy middle names and love them Smile

dyslexicdespot · 03/10/2013 11:24

Read the books before you even consider naming a child after one of GM characters! Danny is a right pain in the ass and will not turn out well- mark my words!

Madratlady · 03/10/2013 11:19

I think it's tacky to name your child after the popular tv show of the moment no matter what the name is.

I also find it worrying how many people seem to think that 'Khaleesi' is the character's name.
