Yes FEG is fine.

ch1134 · 01/10/2013 22:56

I like this thread as it's similar to our requirements, having a long surname and Welsh roots.
We liked

Dan
Tom
Ben
Matt
Ned
Stan
Seb
Zac

in this order, but can't use them for various reasons.
I'm not keen on Max as I think it's a lot to live up to.
Now I'm considering Lou but it doesn't sound as strong.

Initials are fine!

stopprocrastinating · 01/10/2013 20:57

Still loving Flynn. The second name is a family name and begins with an E. Are the initials FEG okay?

Blake?

TalkativeJim · 01/10/2013 13:04

If your DH is Welsh then he will be able to confirm that y is a vowel in Welsh :)

Raven/crow - same difference. Both a black bird! Grin

Hywel does sound different to Howell but how different depends on where in Wales you are. Accents innit.

shrinkingnora · 30/09/2013 17:28

But pronounced Howl it has one syllable and the op has already said she doesn't count y as a vowel. I didn't make the rules Wink

rosyryan · 30/09/2013 15:09

Damn, I came on to say Bran and Llyr but was beaten to it!

JemimaMuddledUp · 30/09/2013 14:02

Howell might sound like Howl, but if it spelt Hywel I would expect it to be pronounced Huh-well.

Both have two syllables and two vowels anyway.
