Me and hubby have been discussing baby names and although we have got a girl's name we like there is not a single boys name that either of us can say, "I like it."

We are having a sexing scan in 3 weeks and hopefully they will say it's a girl otherwise we are screwed Grin

We just don't like ANYTHING!!

I need some inspiration - what are you ladies calling your boys lately???

Current possibilities: Liam, Luke, Harrison and Ross.

Hubby seems quite taken with Christian which unfortunately, although lovely, is also the name of my absolute psycho wa*nker ex so I'm struggling to get on board Grin He also likes Elliot but I'm really not keen.

I'm the youngest of five, all my siblings have three children - I'm TTC but there are NO NAMES LEFT!

I've like Harry - taken
Sam - taken
Noah - taken

I'm holding onto Jesse, Leon, Oscar, and Bertie ... my sis due in 4 weeks though! :/

My husband just wants to name any boys after himself...

RandyGiles · 11/10/2013 21:39

That may have been my favourite too Wink

Congratulations! Boys are amazing! We had the same problem, except there were no girls names that we liked. In the end we had a little boy, so it didn't matter. His middle name is also John. These were my favourites, DS's name is here...

Milo
Noah
Jonah (instead of John, not as well as)
Rafael

Congratulations on your forthcoming boy!
If we'd had boy(s) we were going to have:
Luke for the first one
Tobias (Toby for short) for the second one
with John as a middle name - as you are going to have. It's my brother's name.
I also loved Lucien (but my DH said no way); Barney; Owen; Theo; Dylan.
Boys' names I have heard and really liked are Rufus and Jowan (Cornish for John and pronounced Joe-an).
Good luck with your short-list.

Writerwannabe83 · 11/10/2013 20:57

Isn't it typical that today we found out we are having a boy Grin

Thanks everyone for your continued support.

After having agreed we both like Harrison my husband has now said he wants to have a re-think Smile

We are finding out the sex this Friday though so at least the stress of choosing names will be reduced by 50% Smile

We were in a similar position. Lots of girls names we liked but no boys names. We eventually had Thomas, Daniel, Oscar and Oliver on our shortlist but we wanted to see what he looked like when he was born.

We went with Henry! It wasn't on "the list" and I wasn't sure if I even liked the name before he was born. But he looked like a Henry. And now i absolutely love the name. :)

I do like Harrison though Harry would be very popular - depends if that bothers you?

Fishandjam · 07/10/2013 00:10

We're rather traditional (but not biblical) so we liked Edmund, Charles, John, William, Robert, Alexander, possibly Edric or Julius if we were going out on a limb. DS ended up being one of the aforementioned Grin

Nearly called DS2 Paul, which is normal but unusual these days. Zoe was my girls name if I'd had a DD. You've already rejected my DS1's name - but it could be your DS's name, too.
