Luna or Lara

Can't decide between these two names.

Luna I worry will become very popular, trendy and date. Bit like Isla.

Lara I worry is too sensible, but it does feel more classic.

Thoughts please!!

Where I am from Luna is a dog's name as it's basically calling your child 'moon'.

I like Lara but I like Lana even better and it's a cross between both Lara and Luna which might work for you?

The word Lunatic comes from the belief that changes in the moon would cause moments or periods of insanity, for those interested!

That being said... I still wouldn't care if someone called me Loony or Lunatic if my name were Luna. No biggy. Just gotta teach kids to have think skin.

I really like Luna, but wouldn't use it for fear of the LunaTIC issues in the playground.
Lara is pretty and classic.

I love Lara. Also agree that Lana is pretty. I don't like Luna.

Lena, Lila, Lyla, Lyra, Lia, Lola and Laura could be options too?

I love Lara and Luna. I think i prefer Luna but not sure now everyone has said about Lunatic.

Of your 2 I would veto Luna, pretty as it is, and choose Lara.

I think Luna is a beautiful name and meaning BUT surely you (and everyone else) would end up calling her Looney?

Lara is a bit boring though.

What about Lyra?
