DSJamesHathaway · 13/09/2013 18:39

The list I have so far is:
Bertram
Cecil
Everard
Gilbert
Grayson
Joshua
Laurence
Miles
Sebastian
Stuart
Theodore
Timothy
Toby

I really like Grayson. The only ones DH likes are Timothy and Stuart.

Girls names I like are Cecily, Celeste, Beatrice but there isn't one I love.

Thoughts?

I have a Gilbert, so obviously love that. I really like Laurence and Timothy from your list.
I prefer Beatrix to Beatrice, but am not really loving your other girls names.

Greensleeves · 20/09/2013 00:39

On your list I like Toby and Cecil

I loathe Grayson, it's awful

I like androgynous names like Kerry, Kim, Rowan, Christy, Kay

bouncingbelle · 20/09/2013 00:37

Everard is going to get "ever hard"
Bertram is awful.
The rest are actually all really nice names. My own favourites would be Laurence, Sebastian or Stuart.

All your girls names are lovely (not helpful!)

DSJamesHathaway · 19/09/2013 22:53

Agatha Olivia was my number one favourite name but as it's been top 5 for the last few years I ruled it out.

Oooh, I do like Gerald as a name. Makes me think of Gerald Durrell.

Everard and Grayson - really GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

AgathaPinchBottom · 19/09/2013 22:19

I love your boys names (with the one exception of Stuart)
My fantasy girls names are: Lydia, Cecily, Beatrice, flora, Olivia and I also really like vita, Martha, cordelia, Georgie and Agnes or agatha.
That's probably not helpful but I was interested to see that we have quite similar tastes.

By the way am feeling bit over excited by the name Gerald for some unknown reason - just thought I'd share that with you. Though I am sure I am the only one who feels this way at this point in history.

I don't think today's kids will know who Quentin Crisp is, but we know two little Quentins - seems to be becoming more popular.

If you like Grayson, how about Leyton?

DSJamesHathaway · 19/09/2013 18:33

Quentin always makes me think of Quentin Crisp.

I like Everard and Laurence. How about Corinna for a girl?

bananamummy · 19/09/2013 13:23

I love your girls' names - Cecily, Celeste and Beatrice are all gorgeous, elegant and not overused!

I'm not that keen on your boys' names list but I do love Quentin, Clement, Calvin and Austin as suggested below.

Not really keen on many of your boy's names. Stuart is Ok but a bit dated. Laurence and Gilbert are next from the list. Girls names I like Violet, Iris, Cecilia, Isabella.

DSJamesHathaway · 17/09/2013 18:40

I really like Lydia, Cecilia and Arianna. Matilda is lovely but I think it's becoming very popular.

Of your boys names I like Bertram, Sebastian, Timothy and Theodore. I really dislike Grayson. I know some v Canadian 'chav' parents who have one, and a Brittany-Leigh, so that puts me right off.
Girl suggestions:
Cecilia
Arianna
Juliana
Juliet
Matilda
Alyssa
Seren
Dorothea
Margaret
Annette
Imogen

Karbea · 15/09/2013 21:53

I like Joshua and Sebastian. Not keen on the others.

Tweediewalker · 15/09/2013 21:46
