toobreathless · 13/09/2013 19:38

Or:
Zed, Rex, Xander, Xavier, Leon, Zachary, Alec
???

squoosh · 13/09/2013 19:37

What other musicians/bands do you like?

toobreathless · 13/09/2013 19:36

I think it's quite a big name to pull off? What if he's a shy little thing? But nothing against the name as such.

dirtyface · 13/09/2013 19:28

oh i looooooove all those names mrsdevere

marley is lovely, would be one of my choices, but my friend already has a :/

and lol at being big in to air guitar :o we definitely are! well dh's is real :o

squoosh · 13/09/2013 19:24

The parent of a Hendrix would be big into air guitar.

Lennon isn't bad, I quite like Otis but Hendrix is too linked with just one person. Maybe it's a bit too fan girl/boy for me.

quoteunquote · 13/09/2013 18:36

Both the people I know who are called Hendrix, have brothers called Otis, I think it's a lovely name, better than having to be called by your surname because the half the class has the same name as you.

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 13/09/2013 18:34

My friend wants this name for her next child. I think it's great.

My DS1 is James which is partly after Jimi (and various other rock-types). That is probably way too conventional. I'd probably make friends with you at baby group on this basis (lots of his tracks popped up on my hospital playlist whilst I was labouring with DS2 so its a good coversation starter) although my alternative roots are very deeply buried these days.

Zoe789 · 13/09/2013 18:25

oh no, she doesn't! sorry, I was joking, you said you you were musicians. Gwen Stefani is pregnant I think.

Ignore me. I'll get my coat Wink

Wildwaterfalls · 13/09/2013 18:21

Have you got Scandinavian or Dutch/German heritage?

If so you could go for Henrik or Hendrik.

dirtyface · 13/09/2013 18:10

i like the name lennon mrswelly

i didnt know gwen stefani has a hendrix

that kind of makes me like it more as she is cool

OP posts:
PeanutPatty · 13/09/2013 18:04

Not for a child. Maybe a dog.

Zoe789 · 13/09/2013 18:02

ah well then :-| go ahead!

Will we read it soon? Gwen Stefani's next baby is called Hendrix!

Hendrix goes with Kingston but not with Zuma.

forcookssake · 13/09/2013 18:00

I think it's cool, but I think it suffers a bit by ending in 'x' - it reminds me of Jackson>>Jaxon and other 'modern' names
Also, future child would be forever saying "yeah, Hendrix, like Jimmy... yeah my parents thought he was cool..."
However, in a similiar vein, I've been thinking about Cohen Blush

Zoe789 · 13/09/2013 17:50

x post! i'm joking here btw. I fear I'm conventional Shock

Zoe789 · 13/09/2013 17:48

Dirtyface, the child isn't named yet!

Talk me through 'unconventional' though. Are you a potter? Do you live in a yert? Do you home school!?

dirtyface · 13/09/2013 17:47

OP posts:
JamieandtheMagicTorch · 13/09/2013 17:42

I was going for a jokey 1970's tone. Failed, obviously. Sorry
