A sibling for Byron?

It took us a ridiculous amount of time to agree on Byron's name. DH has....eclectic taste name wise. So now number 2 is cooking and I am flummoxed.
So far we have:
Atticus (Byron was very nearly called this but I've gone off it a bit)
Caspian - we both like but don't love this.
Tiberius - DH favourite.
Aegeaus - Dh's other suggestion.

Girl wise we have only 1 name we can agree on:
Ariadne.

And that's it, we're at a veto impasse.
Help please?

(i can never remember where the apostrophe does or does not go. DH despairs of me)

Let me strike that apostrophe from the record.

BigPawsBrown · 12/09/2013 00:59

I have pasted my "note" p my iPhone with all my names on as we have similar tastes I think (I have duly added Byron). Yes I am childless and mad. That is ten years' of name pondering there!

Tristan is really growing me. If he vetoes that I may strop a fair bit.

He does veto a lot. But, I think if I keep mentioning them he may eventually cave?

He did. He really did

Also Castro.

My question mark key does not work.
I think that dh being a teacher should help you avoid many traps.
What is the male version of Sophie.

I just named all of mine after the scan nurse or man.

Is your DH vetoing lots of your suggestions? You did say of his choices 'I have to let a few through the veto'.

FWIW I love Byron. Phoebe is my favourite of the girls' names mentioned but I see you've ruled it out. Miranda?

Ernest is a family name and I do like it but DH, not so much.
Great suggestions though, thank you. Lots going on the Ponder list.

DH is a teacher. Another reason we struggle with names.
I think naming a child Unique is a large jump away from giving a child a name from the classics or old testament.
I am aware our naming style is not to everyone's choice. That's fine. But if you only want to pour scorn then please go do it elsewhere because I am vastly uninterested.
And you forgot a question mark after "Is this normal" - Mr Gove would be most vexed at you.

I have a Lenin & a Nadaya (cats)

& a Hazel and Celeste (DDs)I think Celeste goes quite nicely with Byron?

Like all your suggestions except the one beginning with A but that's because I hand no idea how to pronounce it & would struggle with the spelling.

It is when you have two kids in the class called Unique and you have to call them Unique One and Unique Two that you long for the odd Bill.

Same goes for Bear and all Greek names in London preps.
