A sibling for Byron?

It took us a ridiculous amount of time to agree on Byron's name. DH has....eclectic taste name wise. So now number 2 is cooking and I am flummoxed.
So far we have:
Atticus (Byron was very nearly called this but I've gone off it a bit)
Caspian - we both like but don't love this.
Tiberius - DH favourite.
Aegeaus - Dh's other suggestion.

Girl wise we have only 1 name we can agree on:
Ariadne.

And that's it, we're at a veto impasse.
Help please?

Why do you consider them weird?. Well, the list contained Stalin for a start...

You're trying way too hard and your kids will not thank you. What about Peter or Jane, can't be any bloody worse than that list

Rockinhippy · 12/09/2013 12:43

Confused where did Tarquinius come from - I wrote Tarquin

I love Darwin BTW :)

Rockinhippy · 12/09/2013 12:42

If you like Tristan, you might also like Tarquinius?? We know adult brothers of those names, Tarquinius is by far the cooler of the two, he is a very handsome, successful sculpturer, with a penchant for renovating & collecting vintage 50s & 60s American cars

Tristan is a male stripper Grin

Also if you like Dahlia, you may also like Delia, it was my DMs name & she was always beautiful, elegant, very clever and ahead of her time

Isolde! Hot Damn, I forgot that. It's so pretty. Some really glorious names there to wake up to and consider, thank you.
Butwilliseeyouagain if you'd care to reread the thread you will find Stalin has been vetoed for very obvious reasons. And wasn't my suggestion either. I am trying to find a suitable compromise with my lovely, yet slightly eclectic DH.

If he likes Darwin, what about Dawson? I know one and it's now "on the list" for my as-yet unconceived spawn.

Livia would be great for a girl. Octavia?

Look. Hephzibah, Atticus, Stalin, Caspian, Aegeaus, Antigone are all names that would be considered very silly and pretentious by a large number of people. Obviously it's your choice but I urge you to go for something less... silly. Please. Byron is really quite nice. Can you not go for around the same level of out-there-ness for number 2?

Raeray · 12/09/2013 03:07

I like your name ideas!

How's about Tate, Ruben, Beck, Matias, Elias
Ingrid, Astrid, Darcey, Delilah,camille, Nina

Not sure where they all came from but hopefully you might like one or two Grin

LillyNotOfTheValley · 12/09/2013 02:37

Oh and Isolde is a fab name too. goes on my own list for potential DD2

LillyNotOfTheValley · 12/09/2013 02:34

Have we chewed over Otis yet?

DiscoBiscuits · 12/09/2013 01:32

Also many many Olivia's, Sophia's, Millie's and a huge variety of Isabella's.
And a fair few Rio's, Jaxon's, Kelan/Kaylen/Jaiden/Briden's.
It's a varied mix of classes and naming styles so we are choosing to be really unusual and, you know, sorta just....pick something we like.
Btw your judgeypants are a bit tight.

Tristan is great, but pleeease pick Rory!

Butwilliseeyouagain · 12/09/2013 01:20

What interesting taste in names you have. I beg you to go with Tiberius Stalin.

CloudyBayDrainageSystem · 12/09/2013 01:11

Tell you what, I'll veto Tristan, to give your DH a break.
