DP is of Indian descent, born and bred in London and goes by an English nickname.
We don't know the gender of the baby but he thinks it's going to be a boy Hmm anyway there are plenty of nice sounding/meaning girl's names but I don't like ANY of the boy names he's suggested... I.e. Raj, Lakshmann...
This is second baby (first dd with Caucasian partner and has an 'english' name).
also want a name where people don't say "sorry, what?!" when we say his/her name...
Please help!! Confused

Hari Kiran Ali Samir Danyal all pretty anglicised

Best ever though for me ( and I makes me smile every time) is Idris who knew that it was a traditional Asian name as well as Welsh!

Hari is nice, I'm assuming people will always spell it Harry though which might get annoying... like kiran

One of my best friends is a Kiran though, and gets called Kieran all the time, which irritates.

I have a friend whose mother is English and father is Indian, his name is Kiran, which I always thought was a good name for both (Indian/English).
