Asa Rufus or Rufus Asa?

For everyday use I prefer the name Rufus, which is fabulous, but if you're using them together I think Asa Rufus flows better.

The only Asa I've ever met was a beautiful, lovely caramel skin toned Thai boxing instructor. I used to "spectate" the kids lessons twice a week they gave up after a year .
I love both the names that you've chosen but they're both too fabulous to go together, Asa and Rufus need to be brothers, do you think you could wait and see what name suits him best?.

zola there is a big world out there, even if the english know it as an old testament name, it doesni translate well into french spanish german....and def not into any of the scandinavian countries. What might be a cutesy name for a baby, think how it will look and sound for a bearded gentleman trying to sound professional in the business world.

But unless it travels to Sweden (and even then there's no accent), what's the problem? It's an Old Testament name.

It looks very feminine , and the child will grow up being told oh I thought you were a girl from your name. My father has a similarly sounding name and is in his 70ies, he hates it as he still gets Mrs Xxxxon conference invites and letters....its not a name that travels well!

i have a great one of my middle son wearing a christmas fairy dress and a giant inflatable robot head.

Y'know what....I've got a luffley picture of DS in a rainbow fairy outfit,complete with pearls and hair clips and a big pout because his sparkly ring kept falling off

Maybe I care far to little about feminising my DS's?!

I know what your mean Remus they don't flow beautifully...
I do think Asa Rufus sounds better though,and we can't find any other names we love as much as these two...
spent ages looking for names and discarding perfectly lovely ones with the same initials as our other DC, to find there weren't any really left...

So I've decided to scrap that rule,and go with the names we like best
