What do you think of the name Meg, and what can it be short for?

Anyone famous called Meg? Pros and cons? It does rhyme with egg...

Usually short for Margaret or Megan, might be others too.

I love Meg, I have a Megan, Grandpa calls her Peggy (which she loves, as it's like Peggy Mitchell )

Megan is the obvious choice - I don't really like Meg by itself but Megan is pretty and popular.

It's short for Margaret. Or Megan I suppose but traditionally Margaret.

I think it is a lovely name.

Meg Ryan is the only one I can think of.
