Edward or Lewis?

DP and me have been trying to short list our favourite baby names and so far mutual favourite boys names are Lewis and Edward!
I can't decide which I like more!

Lewis is lovely. I'd spell it that way to avoid the potential confusion of pronouncing Louis (French way, Lou-ee vs English way Lou-is). I prefer the English version (The french one sounds like loo and wee ).

Edward is nice to but a little widely used/dull and I don't like Ed or Eddie that much.

I always wanted Lewis, but Lewis Hamilton was in his pomp when DS1 was born and DH talked me out of it.

Both lovely names, but go with Edward if you will get fed up of people misspelling and mispronouncing Lewis as Louis! Lewis was on our list but was struck off for this reason

I am totally with Onesleep.

Edward is lovely, Lewis is fine but I prefer Louis.
