Have an Alexandria who is always known as Alex or Allie (I know you didn't ask me but you asked someone else, so I'm chipping in Grin)

Off your list I'd go for Helena, though would you pronounce it He-lay-na or Helen-a?

Our potential Alexandra siblings would be Margaret (Maggie), Madeleine, Elizabeth (arguments over Libby/Lizzie), Penelope (Penny), Robyn (currently in love with this but worried about two seemingly unisex names), or Harriet.

Isabelle - or Isobel Smile

DalmationDots · 30/08/2013 20:23

Theadora or Millicent are my current favourites and go well

Isabelle - nice, lots around but declining in popularity
Sophie - love
Estelle - not for me
Helena - quite nice
Florence - like Flo but not florence
Alice - love but not sure it goes with Alexandra, if in time Alexandra becomes Alex or Ali then Alice and Alex would sound similar.

Interesting that a few people have suggested Elizabeth. That is DH's favourite for dD2.

AmandaCooper · 30/08/2013 20:16

Elizabeth

She is known as Lexie or Lex. She is only two at the moment so may have other ideas when older. That was one of the appeals if the name for me. My name is similarly malleable and I liked that growing up.

Yonionekanobe, just out of interest - what nickname (if any) do you use for your Alexandra?

Love Eleanor and Clementine!

Verity goes well too.

charitygirl · 30/08/2013 20:01

Haha - was coming on to say Helena or Elena. Or even just Helen.

Victoria would also work, and is unusual these days.

Or how about Isolde?
