Hi
Just wondering what people in your circle of friends have called their babies out of interest. My little one is due in a few weeks and still undecided (we don't know the sex) I like a lot of he names that are popular just now which is a bit annoying ( I've loved my favourite girls name for years and it's only recently zoomed up the charts) I know at the end of the day it dosent really matter but I don't want them to be one of 3 in their class! So far I know of a rowen (girl), Alfie, Maia, Lacey,Charlie and a Callum.
Thanks!

It's hard to predict whether a name will be unique. Any name could suddenly become popular due to a celebrity using thta name, or a popular film. There were two boys in my DD's class at school who had the same name - yet it wasn't a popular one - don't think it was in the top 100. Best to go with a name you really love.

Girls: Kensi, Harper, Lowri
Boys: Orrin, Harley, Ollie

Apart from Lowri I think all these names are bloody awful by the way!

Angelaoxford as I said it dosent really matter in the grand scheme of things but the last thing I want is people to think 'not another one'! I have a fairly unusual name which I am so grateful I've got! I think it's nice for a kid to be a bit unique and not be known as eg Susan k, Susan m, Susan p (that was in my class back in the 80's)
Just my opinion and no offence to any susans!!

I have a question: Why is it annoying that you want to give your child a name that is popular? Why does everything have to happen according to popularity charts?
