Feeling sick to my stomach that Katie Price has just named her baby the same name as my son!

Currently holding my head in my hands rocking back and forth screaming "whhhhyyyyyyyyyyy?!?!"

Well, not really..... But I feel like doing that. I thought I had hit the jackpot with Jett, unique yet masculine and not too weird sounding and now KATIE PRICE has named her son Jett too.

Sorry, just had to have a rant. :(

This is seriously something to be bothered about? I cannot imagine how you possibly could care. To be fair, if youre thunking of a spectrum from Ms Price, to say, the duchess of cambridge, Jett is most firmly at the glamour model endof it. But so what?

CheeseAndFriedMushrooms · 18/08/2013 23:11

I had a baby name that I loved since uni, was going to call my first child it. (It's a unisex foreign name). Never told anyone about it.

Dh's brother got there first with his daughter so no way could I have used it. Was irrationally angry for weeks!

scarletforya · 18/08/2013 23:08

Makes me think of the Gladiator.

maja00 · 18/08/2013 23:06

Jett hasn't suddenly become chavvy because Katie Price used it, any more than Harvey did!

Lighthousekeeping · 18/08/2013 22:59

These name threads bring out the snobbery in people the worst one was the cute name thread. It was appalling.

AnnaNimitty · 18/08/2013 22:57

What a bunch of pretentious assholes you are!!

SpecialAgentCuntSnake · 18/08/2013 22:53

What about Jettson?

I loved that show

Be nice to Travolta, he may be strange but no one should lose a child.

Onesleeptillwembley · 18/08/2013 22:36

It sounds perfectly suited to her and her lifestyle. You obviously don't like or approve of her. I have similar feelings about naming a child 'Jet'.

picnicbasketcase · 18/08/2013 22:36

When she has the next one, she should blow everyone's minds by naming it Carol or Kenneth. Confound expectations.

Lighthousekeeping · 18/08/2013 22:33

I like it and I hope all goes well for her. Isn't he going to be in hospital for a few weeks? Must be scary.

worldcitizen · 18/08/2013 22:28

Excuse me, probably totally off topic, but I serioulsy cannot understand why so many here on MN have put that Katie Hopkins woman down for her comments, when it seems to me most people here are from the same school of thought Confused

ashlee1992 · 18/08/2013 22:27

So, is it too early to start speculating as to what KP will call her next baby? I'm struggling to see a theme here! Harvey, Junior, Princess, Jett and...

BOF · 18/08/2013 22:27

It reminds me of the nice lady off Gladiators.

Ilovemyrabbits · 18/08/2013 22:20

I can't imagine Jett was ever on the middle class Mumsnet approved names list. Now Katie's picked it for her baby boy, I suspect it will be jettisoned to the island of lost names. Never to be seen again in respectable society. DISCLAIMER: Just my image of the Mumsnet Hoiky Pants Elders, who dictate whether Tarquin or Chardonnay are the banned, 'naff' names of the moment.

GiveMeVegemite · 18/08/2013 22:13

minty it's not so much the uniqueness, although I am sad that it will probably become popular now, it's more the chaviness associated with it being Katie Price's baby name.

Ah well... I'll just move somewhere no one has ever heard of her. I hear Bhutan is quite nice?

BasilBabyEater · 18/08/2013 22:08

Has Katie Price had another baby then?

GiveMeVegemite · 18/08/2013 22:07

creature very true, you have put my mind at rest ;)

Mintyy, I thought you'd named your DS Parsley!

Mintyy · 18/08/2013 22:03

I felt the same when I named my cat Presley 13 years ago, then found out that a supermodel (poss Cindy Crawford?) had given her pfb the same name just a few weeks before.

Best friend was the same over the girls name Coco and Courtney Cox.

Chin up, no names are unique (unless they are dreadful).

CreatureRetorts · 18/08/2013 22:01

That is a terribly naff interesting name.

To be honest, if anyone you know knows what she has called her baby, then what kind of circles do you mix in? Grin

slenderman · 18/08/2013 22:01

didn't mean to offend but with a name like that it's sure to attract comments.

it will be dead popular also now jordan has used it

Beveridge · 18/08/2013 21:59

Flip it round a bit and call them Jeff.
