Guy - just doesn't seem like a 'baby' name to me

Although I guess all the grown up men called Guy were babies once!

Dh loves this name. I like Rufus.

We are at loggerheads.

I don't mind the name Guy, but I can't imagine saying it to a baby or toddler?

I know a Guy...it weirds me out every time I say/sing it at the baby group we go too.

Much prefer Rufus, but that's a bit more common place where we are.

Dh has his heart set on it. A girl would be Edithe (after his mum, I like that name too, so that is sorted - will be shortened to Edie).

I have an older ds from a previous relationship, when I think back to when he was a newborn, I just cannot imagine cooing "Guy" at him. To me, that's a 30 year old, middle managers name Grin

Meant to add, it certainly wouldn't put me off naming a baby boy Guy.

I love Guy proper mans name, they are not babies for five minutes.

I love the name Guy. I wouldn't worry about a name not feeling babyish. That's a good thing in my book - the baby phase is sooo short.

It's a lovely name, but I do agree it's one that would a boy would grow into so to speak.
