2012 Top 100 Baby Names

My daughter is within top 100, but not top 10.
Neither DF or I seem to be on this list, but my spelling is a tad different from the original, so will look again.

My sisters name is in here.

We are all in the top 20 (which annoys me as I deliberately gave DC2 & 3 names near the bottom of the 100 list), apart for DH who is nowhere to be seen, although he was probably one of several in his class in the '70's.

bluebump · 12/08/2013 20:12

My DS is in the top 50, i'm in the top 100.

RabbitIssue · 12/08/2013 20:10

that was our two dds, dh and i aren't in there at all.

RabbitIssue · 12/08/2013 20:09

top 20 and top 40 Shock

HorryIsUpduffed · 12/08/2013 20:08

The full tables are here. Much more interesting.

Morgause · 12/08/2013 20:07

DS1 top 40
DS2 top 50
Me - nope very Welsh only ever met one other
DH nope, surprised at that.

Mintyy · 12/08/2013 20:04

My children have just about the most common names it is possible to have atm (although I named them 12 and 9 years ago).

Dh and I have incredibly common names for our respective birth years. I have 3 people with the same name as me on my phone and 3 with the same name as my dh.

We are all common as common could be! (and never give it a moment's thought).

MrsOakenshield · 12/08/2013 20:03

DD is top 20. Neither DH or I are on there, doubt you'd get anyone under 35 with my name, maybe 30 for DH. My name very fashionable in the 60s, DH's not top 10 but not unusual.

ChunkyChicken · 12/08/2013 20:03

DH, DD & DS have both first & middle names in top 100, although DH's middle name is the winner, & in the top 10. Neither of my names are there though, although I would imagine my first name would be in the top 200.

Strangely enough, both DD & DS's first names are roughly as popular as each other (60s) without it being deliberate/contrived to be that way iyswim.

WorkingtoohardMama · 12/08/2013 20:01

I'm not on there, dh is top 50, ds is top 20 and dd is top 5!!

Bakingtins · 12/08/2013 19:59

Both DS's in the top 100 but not the top 10. Neither DH or I feature but sure we would have been top 100 in the years we were born.

tumbletumble · 12/08/2013 19:59

DD is in the top 10 - we knew it was a popular name but loved it
Both DSs between 40 and 50
Neither DH nor I are in the top 100.

I'm not on it, dd is in the 40's ànd dh not at all. Dh has the most common name in the world for men his age, mine is rare and dd is sort of middling

JemimaMuddledUp · 12/08/2013 19:58

DH and DS1 are in the top 100. DS2, DD and I aren't.

We all have Welsh names though and I imagine that DS2 and DD would be in the top 100 in Wales.

Thurlow · 12/08/2013 19:57

DP 16
Me 955 (surprised there are still nearly 40 a year with this name!)
DD 1018

JimbosJetSet · 12/08/2013 19:57

DD is in the top 50, but DS, DH nor I feature at all - none of us have unusual names though!

MummyPig24 · 12/08/2013 19:56

Dd is in the top 5, ds is in the top 40. Neither dh or I are in the top 100.

countingmyblessings · 12/08/2013 19:55

Yes I am in the top five dh top ten ds1 bottom 10 & ds2's name is surprisely not there. Thought it was? How accurate is this list?

Methe · 12/08/2013 19:54

12,14,39 and 95. Unoriginal are us!

Sirzy · 12/08/2013 19:54

DS is number 1, I am number 95 quite suprised really.

PotteringAlong · 12/08/2013 19:54

DS is top 10, I'm top 50 and DH isn't on there!

FootOfOurStairs · 12/08/2013 19:53

I'm quite surprised by that list as I spend a lot of time with babies and have never met some of those. None of us -dh, me, dds are top 100, though a diminuative of dd1 is in tge 60s. None of us have remotely unusual names though.

turkeyboots · 12/08/2013 19:53

DH and DD are in too 100, DS and I are way down in the 1000 pluses.
