Had a lightening bolt last night with a boys name, Arthur!! We both love it, but is it too popular/common?

Love it. Don't know any. Smile

I don't think I know any. It's cute but I do think it's gaining in popularity.

I suggested it to DH but he said no. I like Arthur but can't stand Artie.

The last 4 baby boys I know have been called it - sorry, but I think it's very regional. But I think it may be heading up the charts with a bullet.

On here everyone says its getting common but in RL I know none despite having two school aged kids and therefore knowing lots and lots of under 10s. Im in London where it is supposedly popular. I think it was about 60th in rankings last year.

It's lovely.

Love this name. Only know one. :)

I know four under the age of seven and I don't even know that many children.

It's a lovely name though. I like it shortened to Kay too, as in Thomas Malory.

I know of one. Think it has the potential to get very popular - it's classic, familiar, has lots of positive associations and hasn't been in widespread use for a while.

That said, I do love it! Think it sounds best with a 'distinguished' surname, though -Arthur Smith/Jones/Brown still sounds quite 'little old man' to my ears!

I love it and haven't met any and I've been to loads of baby groups.

Very nice, don't know any!
