Vincent?

I have three DSs already, and feeling is that DC4 will also be a boy.
DH doesn't want to know, but I'm all out of names having used up 9 already.

I love, love, love Ptolemy and Stanley, but DH has said we cannot use anything ending in y or ie as his surname ends ley and he doesn't want rhyming or sing-songy names.

So Vincent? To go with brothers Gilbert, Francis and Horatio

Or any other brilliant suggestions?

I love Vincent, it's top of our list if we have a DS2. Mine's called Franklin but that obviously wouldn't work, on our list were also

Victor
Wilbur
Tobias
Theodore
Jasper

Any of those work?

Oh I loved Albie as a middle name but vetoed along with Joshua by DH Sad
Vincent will aways be Don McLean/Van Gogh to me and Vinnie will always be Vinnie Jones Grin but neither of those are necessarily bad things.

Love Vincent, excellent name!

I think Vincent would be a great choice and it goes well with the older siblings' names. What would you use for a middle name?

NeoMaxiZoomDweebie · 05/08/2013 00:00

Kiwik I know it only as Albie which is the name of a book by Stan Barstow.

juneybean · 04/08/2013 23:56

My brother is a Vincent after Don McLeans song and he was never a vinnie always Vince.

kiwik · 04/08/2013 23:53

Oh - I love Joss. That's going on the list.
Is Alby short for Albert? My nephew is Albert, known as Bertie (or Bert as he calls himself), so that's not possible.

I quite like Clement, but not sure DH will as he's much more conservative in name choice than I am.

There's a Vinnie at DD's school - great name.
Ptolemy is very 'posh' sounding but would not be out of place with your other names.

Vincent is lovely, and he will be called Vinnie, which is also lovely.
I have a wee cousin called Vinnie, so I may be a wee bit biased.

Stanley is ok, but what the hell is Ptolemy?!?!? That's not even a real word never mind a name. I had to google how to pronounce it Shock

NeoMaxiZoomDweebie · 04/08/2013 23:20

Oh LOVE Vincent. It's fabulous. Don't like Ptolemy or Stanley at all. Mind you I like Tolly...or Ptoli however you shorten Ptolemy. I also like Albie and Joss.
