Vincent?

I have three DSs already, and feeling is that DC4 will also be a boy.
DH doesn't want to know, but I'm all out of names having used up 9 already.

I love, love, love Ptolemy and Stanley, but DH has said we cannot use anything ending in y or ie as his surname ends ley and he doesn't want rhyming or sing-songy names.

So Vincent? To go with brothers Gilbert, Francis and Horatio

Or any other brilliant suggestions?

I love Vincent one of my all time favorites but i used it a few years back for my black lab he gets mistaken constantly for Fin instead of Vin or Finley for Vinnie.
Personally i cant stand Finley and i know hes just a pet not a child but the similarity and mistakes from friends and family annoy the hell out of me
xxxx

Neo you are thinking of Joby, surely?

I like Vincent/Vinnie because I have good associations with it, knew a lovely Vinnie.

Eastpoint · 03/09/2013 05:47

Just to warn you that your mum & her friends might think of Just Good Friends, tv show from the 80s with Jan Francis & Paul Nichols.

I like it said the French way but always hear 'Viiiiince' when it's in English.

I love the name Vincent, absolutely love it.

The guy from that Beauty and the Beast programme (about 20 odd years ago) was called Vincent.

It always makes me think of someone who is kind and good hearted and gentle. It really goes with the other names too

WetAugust · 02/09/2013 23:13

Like it.

CharLiz · 02/09/2013 18:49

Ooo love it, I like Vincey for nn too. I gave all my pets human names and had a rabbit called Vince or it would be on my list. Love Vince Noir from Mighty Boosh so it's a cool name by me. Other sons names are awesome!

I like Vincent but am not keen on nickname Vinnie or Vince.
Love Quentin or how about Magnus?

hatsybatsy · 02/09/2013 07:32

I like it - knew a very sweet little Vincent.

Not sure it goes with your other names though? Your names seem more classical traditional?

Arthur?
Mortimer?
Seth?
Quentin?
Isaac?
Edgar?

LeoandBoosmum · 01/09/2013 23:00

Something beginning with E or I because you have F, G, H....so I say Edward, Ernest or Eric or Ivor.

DramaAlpaca · 01/09/2013 14:25

I'm not keen, tbh, but it does go well with the other boys' names.

ch1134 · 01/09/2013 14:23

It does go with your other 3 sons' names but I don't like Vinny.

MrsDavidBowie · 31/08/2013 19:51

No, no, no.
It sounds as if he should be working on the waltzers wearing a sleeveless vest and tattoos, with a greasy quiff.

Just reminds me of someone in That'll be the Day.

Phineyj · 31/08/2013 19:49

Not really a name I would choose but have to say it works very well with your other DS's names.

Andanotherthing123 · 30/08/2013 08:39

This is the name I love, but can't get DH to agree to - yet! (i'm wearing him down gradually, ha ha!). Such a lovely, classic, beautiful name.

Writerwannabe83 · 29/08/2013 22:18

'Ear 'ear to Vincent.

miffybun73 · 29/08/2013 21:22

Love Vincent.

Think that a Ptolemy would be teased.

Stanley is one of my least favourite names of all time.
