Will she be forever confused with Phoebe? Have to put up with Constant jokes about the 'Hebe Jeebees'?

We both like it which is shocking the only other name we both agree on is Flora.

My "probably boy " is called Amy Grin

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 01/08/2013 20:37

Oh yes,I fully understand that is what will happen...we'll even have a middle name sorted I expect Wink

I'm glad Hebe has some MN approval....I'm really starting to love it...

Yep I think it goes well with your other names :)

Its lovely, you do realize you will both agree on Hebe and baby will then be a boy! Grin

UpTheFRIGGinDuff · 01/08/2013 20:29

Blythe has been on the list...it is lovely.
Glad to hear of some RL Hebe's Smile

And yes,any name has some silly joke attached to it,I just hoped this one wasn't too obvious....
our other DC are Skye and Arlo, both quite marmite names I suppose. Do you think Hebe 'fits' okay?

Not definitely....the sonographer couldn't see properly, but said 'twas probably a girl...

Flora is a bit tainted, I also just feel a bit meh about it...it's lovely...but,but,but...

DP is pretty much letting me choose whatever I like, but I do want him to like it as well, his face lit up when I mentioned Hebe Grin and normally he likes names I really don't.

I know a Hebe - no Phoebe confusion - there's probably been some heebie-jeebies word play but that's no worse than, say, juicy Lucy.

And tbh, Flora would probably get called Marge .......

My name is Flora, and I do get a lot of butter jokes ("Are yer legs spreadable?")

Hebe is a great, strong name. Along the same lines as Hero and Rhea.

5madthings · 01/08/2013 20:17

Is baby def a girl then?

5madthings · 01/08/2013 20:17

Its lovely! I know one Hebe who is 10 and its not been an issue for her. Her sister is Posy :)

I like it :) I also like flora but I fear that is ruined by the spread, bit like felixis ruined by the cat food.

MrsBungle · 01/08/2013 20:14

Sorry, I think it's odd too. I think people would think "did she just say phoebe?" I think flora is quite nice.

CreatureRetorts · 01/08/2013 20:05

Sorry it's an odd one. Hebe jeebies!

minipie · 01/08/2013 20:04

Great name miles better than Flora

I wouldn't think it would be confused with Phoebe. Might get the odd heebie jeebie joke but I suspect that phrase won't be much used by their generation onwards.

Iheartcrunchiebars · 01/08/2013 20:03

I love Hebe it's so beautiful.
