Was certain baby was a boy, turns out he is a she, the only problem this poses is I have set my heart on the name Abel, this baby girl will be my 4th and, quite frankly, I have used all my fave girls names! I am so used to thinking of the baby as Abel that I want to just go with it, it doesn't bother me people thinking she's a boy ( as I know they will, quite rightly) but was just wondering if there was a more feminine name I could use, then have Abel/ Belle as a nickname if nothing other then to keep my bloody mother happy! We are in a part of London where nobody really mats an eyelid at very unusual names so pretty sure she wouldn't be teased but can't help feel a tiny bit worried about using such an obvious boys name.... I did find Abeline but it reminds me of makeup Confused

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hmmm, feel the same about that as Abeline, quite long and 'frilly' and really doesn't go with the other 3 girls names, I can see that it would work in terms of shortening it though, thanks Smile

Aww Congratulations. i don't think there is a problem with the name as such, other than years down the line your daughter thinking that maybe you had wanted a boy and not her :(

What about Adele or maybe just Belle?
